History of the
The Durazzo Pallavicini Park in Pegli, built between 1840 and 1846, on a project by the architect Michele Canzio, at the behest of the Marquis Ignazio Alessandro Pallavicini, represents
an excellence in the context of the Italian and European romantic historical garden.
The most beautiful park in Italy 2017
(Winner of the Public Parks category)
SCHEDULE
Unique feature of this garden which is spread over 8 hectares of hills, is that it is structured on
a theatrical tale with nuances esoteric-Masonic that make the visit an experience historical-cultural, landscape-botany but also meditative-philosophical.
The tour is divided into prologue, background, three acts, each consisting of four scenes characterized by lakes, streams, waterfalls, garden buildings, furnishings, rare plants, visual glimpses and scenographic deceptions capable of appropriating the external panorama and expanding almost indefinitely the boundaries of this “magical” place and final exodus.
